The Company
Originally
founded in June 1999, the Company has pursued building projects in the DC
Metropolitan Washington Area, with particular emphasis on luxury development
projects in Northern Virginia and Montgomery County, Maryland.
The Company is particularly dedicated to a high standard of craftsmanship, and attention to detail while ensuring an outstanding level of customer satisfaction. True to its mandate, Botero Homes Gallery has designed, built and sold a number of homes that reflect every aspect of comfort, luxury and attention to detail.
Since 1999, the company has completed and sold beautiful homes: in the Bradley Hills community of Bethesda, Maryland, in the Lucky Estates community of Tyson's Corner and in Middleburg, Virginia.
Over the past couple of years, Botero Homes has focused on the prestigious Great Falls area where it developed several homes and two landmark properties in particular:
- In 2005, Botero Homes finished and sold Carrwood, an extraordinary mansion in Great Falls for which it won a "2005 Monument Award" in the $2million and above category.
- In 2006, Botero Homes finished its most magnificent work of art to date. A 12,000 square feet masterpiece called Spring I for which it was awarded the First Prize "Monument Award" for a 2nd year in a row. But this time, in the $4million and above category.

The Founders
Omar Botero-Paramo Sr. is the Founder of Botero Homes Gallery and currently presides as its CEO and Chairman. Mr. Botero has a Ph.D in economics from Vanderbilt University and is an authority on economic development issues. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Mr. Botero is an experienced real estate developer.
Through the course of his professional career, Mr. Botero has successfully combined his economics' training with his passion for real estate development. During his tenure as President and CEO of Compañia Andina de Construcción LLC, he built 600 low income homes and 117 middle income units throughout Colombia. Mr. Botero also ran one of the largest real estate companies in Bogotá, Corredores Inmobiliarios LLC., where he also served as President and CEO.
Finally, and before returning to the United States, his country of citizenship, Mr. Botero was involved in the study of heavy construction projects, which included developing and building hydropower plants in Colombia and Bolivia, and the construction of an oil pipeline from Bolivia to Argentina.
Maritza Urdinola, Mr. Botero's wife, is an Attorney that specialized in Family Law in Colombia. While in Colombia, she worked as Special Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and she headed the Department of Trading Companies at Proexport Colombia. She currently works very closely with her husband and is an integral asset to Botero Homes.
The Awards
Sponsored by the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association and the Maryland-National Capital Building Association, the Monument Awards honor the homes and communities of the metropolitan Washington Homebuilding Companies whose homes have been judged "the best of the best" for design and value by a panel of their peers.
Botero Homes Gallery Inc. has received the prestigious award three times in three separate categories: Homes over $2 Million, Homes over $3 Million, and Homes over $4 Million.

Monument Award Winner 2008
The Maryland and National Capital Industry Association, The Virginia NNBIA and the Monument Awards Committee selected Botero Homes Gallery as Builder of 2008 for Luxury Homes between $3,000,001 and 4,000,000.In a ceremony held September 4th at the new Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, at the National Harbor, attended by more than 1,000 builders, the First Prize Award was given to Botero Homes Gallery. This is the third time Botero Homes receives this Award of excellence.
